Mighty Goose receives June launch date

Blastmode’s over the top, run-and-gun, Mighty Goose game has received a release date for June of this year. 

Developed by Blastmode, and published by PLAYISM, will launch on Saturday, June 5 on various platforms, including Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and 5, as well as Xbox One and PC via Steam. 

The title allows players to waddle and hunt down fiends across a ‘fowl’ galaxy as Mighty Goose through five stages, each with their own bounty waiting to be ‘plucked’. Additionally, players can ‘flaunt’ Mighty Goose’s feather to show off collectible upgrades and weapons, such as Spint Boots and Chonker Bombs.

“Combining the goose character with something as action-packed as Metal Slug seemed like a really funny idea.” said Richard Lems, founder of Blastmode. “Mighty Goose is a modern take on the throwback run-and-gun of the 90’s, combining funny characters and crazy encounters with solid gameplay and fluidity of a modern game.”

Players can team up with local co-op mode to bring the fight to the Void King and gun their way through hordes of minions and mechanised machines. 

Moreover, the game is designed by Richard Lems from KUNAI with the soundtrack provided by Dominic Ninmark of Blazing Chrome.

Mighty Goose releases Saturday, June 5 on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam for Windows PC for $19.99/17.99, and will honk in Japanese, English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Korean, Russian, Brazilian Portuguese, and Polish.
