Torn Banner Studios wants players to enter ‘truly epic battles’ in Chivalry 2 Cross-Play Closed Beta
24/04/2021 Off By James RossThe gates have been opened by developer Torn Banner Studios, publisher Tripwire Presents, and global retail publishing partner Deep Silver for the Chivalry 2 Cross-Play Closed Beta program.
Commencing April 23 at 10:30am EDT until April 26 at 10:30pm EDT, players will gain access to the medieval battlefield with Cross-Play enabled across all major gaming platforms including PC – via the Epic Store – PS4/5 and Xbox One and Series X|S.
Ahead of the scheduled global launch on June 8, 2021, players who have pre-ordered the standard or special edition will have guaranteed access to this week’s Chivalry 2 Cross-Play Closed Beta.
“When someone enters the battlefield in Chivalry 2, we want players to feel like they’re taking part in a truly epic battle, like the ones seen in our favourite Hollywood movies,” said Steve Piggott, President at Torn Banner Studios. “We want players to feel like Jon Snow from Game of Thrones, surviving against all odds, like William Wallace from Braveheart leading the charge to battle, like the defenders under siege at Helm’s Deep in The Lord of the Rings.
“These are the feelings we want to evoke, and we look forward to feedback from new players and longtime Chivalry veterans after they finally get a chance to experience what Torn Banner Studios has been working so hard on.”
Improving on the original Chivalry: Medieval Warfare, Chivalry 2 invites players to master the blade with an all-new and improved combat system that combines real-time strikes and a free-flowing combo system to speed up the action and let players become a whirlwind of steel on the battlefield.
Chivalry 2 Cross-Play Closed Beta content and highlights includes Cross-Play Across All Platforms, 64-player mass-scale combat and a new map entitled The Siege of Rudhelm.
In addition to Team Objective mode, closed beta participants can also sharpen their skills in Team Deathmatch.
