In a strategic move aimed at avoiding a crowded release window, Remedy Entertainment, the renowned game development studio, has officially announced that the highly anticipated release of Alan Wake 2 will now take place on October 27.

This adjustment is said to grant the horror sequel a more favourable spot within a month filled with the simultaneous debut of several new AAA titles.

Originally slated for release on October 17, the studio’s decision to delay the launch by ten days demonstrates a keen awareness of the competitive landscape in the gaming industry.

“October is an amazing month for game launches, and we hope this date shift gives more space for everyone to enjoy their favourite games,” a spokesperson for Remedy stated.

The alteration in Alan Wake 2‘s release schedule was spurred by the upcoming launch of other high-profile titles in October. Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Mirage is set to kick off the gaming extravaganza on October 5, followed closely by the eagerly anticipated release of Forza Motorsport on October 10.

A dynamic duo launch is scheduled for October 20, with both Spider-Man 2 and Super Mario Bros. Wonder making their debut.

Remedy’s announcement closely follows Ubisoft’s decision to shift the launch date of Assassin’s Creed Mirage to October, further contributing to the competitive atmosphere within the industry.
